GAZA, April 6, 2014 (WAFA) – Israeli warplanes Sunday targeted several locations in the Gaza Strip, causing damage to local facilities and spreading fear among the residents, according to media sources.

BRUSSELS, April 2, 2014 – (WAFA) – The European United Left/ Nordic Green Left group in the European Parliament offered Wednesday unwavering support for the Palestinian leadership’s decision to apply for membership in 15 agencies and international treaties.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas, have officially filed letters of accession to 15 multilateral treaties and convention before the relevant international parties.

 The ministry said in a statement on Wednesday: “On Tuesday 1^st April, following a unanimous decision by the Palestinian leadership, including the PLO Executive Committee, President Mahmoud Abbas signed letters of accession to 15 multilateral treaties and conventions, an ability which Palestine gained following its upgrade to Observer State status by the UN General Assembly in November 2012.”

This has resulted in the displacement of 5,419 people, including 2,832 children and 1,423 women.
