In commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security of Vietnam, the External Relations Department of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam invited representatives of diplomatic missions and foreign police and security agencies in Vietnam to visit historical sites in Tuyen Quang on Saturday, the 23rd of May, 2015.

Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Vietnam Saadi Salama attended this meaningful trip along with about 100 others including ambassadors, representatives of law enforcement bodies of different countries, officers and soldiers of the External Relations Department of Vietnam Ministry of Public Security.

The delegation stopped at several historical sites in Tuyen Quang including Na Lua Shack, Tan Trao and Relic of the Central Public Security Department.

On behalf of foreign delegates, Ambassador Saadi Salama made a short remark in Vietnamese, highlighting his love and deep connection with Vietnam during the past 35 years. He said, “Maybe I’m a lucky person because it is not the first time I visit Tan Trao historical area. I came here 34 year ago, on the 23rd of April 1981, just days before the election of the VII National Assembly of Vietnam. For me personally as a Palestinian, visiting Tan Trao is particularly significant because this is the place where recorded glorious historical pages of the Vietnamese Revolution, strengthening our belief in the success of the Palestinian people’s struggle for freedom and independence . On this occasion, I would like to thank the External Relations Department of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam for giving us the opportunity to join this deeply meaningful trip”.
