Dr.Erekat condemns the illegal opening of Paraguayan Embassy in Jerusalem
We have witnessed today how the Paraguayan president is an irresponsible political leader by defying international law and the achievement of a just and lasting peace in the Middle East. By opening its embassy in Jerusalem, Paraguay is violating UNSC Resolution 478 as well as the very dignity of the peoples of Latin America that have struggled for freedom and justice against domination and oppression.

Today, the US administration is acting on its arrogance of power and disdain for Palestinian rights, thus reaffirming that it is now part of the problem, not the solution. As the Palestinian people commemorate seventy years since the onset of their Nakba (Catastrophe) of dispossession, denial, and injustice, the US Administration added insult to injury in Jerusalem by defying international law and rejecting UN Security Council resolutions relevant to Palestinian rights, especially in Jerusalem.
