Excellency Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, President of the Security Council,

Excellencies Members of the Security Council,

Seventy years have passed since Palestine’s  Nakba, from which 6 million Palestine refugees continue to suffer from the cruelty of exile and loss of human security. They continue to wander the world after the loss of their peaceful and stable lives in their homeland. They are part of the 13 million Palestinians, whose country has not yet been recognized as full Member State of the United Nations, despite the numerous resolutions reaffirming their right to self-determination and statehood on their national land.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Calls on the United Nations to Combat Turning UNRWA to a Tool for Nationalizing Refugees
Thursday, 18 January 2018 15:27

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns the US decision to freeze $ 65 million of US aid funds to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) under the pretext of the existence of what it called "the need for a deep review of UNRWAs works and funds". The Israeli decision was officially welcomed by a number of Israeli official, including the minister of Communications and Intelligence, Yisrael Katz, who said that there is a need to turn UNRWA into a mechanism for the rehabilitating of Palestinian refugees in their places of residence, which is a clear statement that calls for granting Palestinian refugees citizenship in their places of residence.

Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates// “Greenblatt” and “Friedman” positions that are hostile to our people and biased in favor of Israeli settlers
Friday, 12 January 2018 15:31

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemns the statement made by the Advisor to the U.S President and Special Representative for International Negotiations Jason Greenblatt; in which he accused the Palestinian side of “supporting violence and terrorism”, those accusations came after similar accusations made by the U.S Ambassador in Tel Aviv. The Ministry affirms that these biased American statements represent prejudiced ideological positions that are hostile to the Palestinian people, and do not serve the efforts to revive the peace process, it also contradicts the concept of an equal and balanced mediator in the peace process and the negotiations between the two parties.
