RAMALLAH (WAFA) – Two Palestinians were shot and killed, including a teenager, and eight others were injured with live bullets fired at them by Israeli forces on Thursday during a peaceful demonstration marking the 66th Nakba, catastrophe, near Ofar military camp, west of Ramallah, according to WAFA correspondent.
He said that forces fired live bullets toward the demonstration, killing two ages 17 and 20, both from northwest of Ramallah. Eight other Palestinians were shot and injured, all suffering from upper body injuries.

The Nakba: Ethnic cleansing and displacement of the population

Nakba in literary terms means a natural catastrophe such as an earthquake, volcano, or hurricane. However, the Nakba in Palestine describes a process of ethnic cleansing in which an unarmed nation was destroyed and its population displaced to be replaced systematically by another nation. Unlike a natural catastrophe, the Palestinian Nakba was the result of a man-made military plan with the agreement of other states, leading to a major tragedy for the Palestinian people. The subsequent occupation of the remaining land of Palestine in 1967 resulted in additional tragedy. |

KHAN YUNES (WAFA) – Israeli forces, stationed on Gaza borders, Sunday opened fire at Palestinian farmers to the east of the city of Khan Yunes, in the southern Gaza Strip, according to media sources.
WAFA correspondent said army soldiers, stationed on border watchtowers, opened live fire towards the farmers while they were working in their own agricultural land. The farmers were then forced to leave the area lest being injured or even shot dead by the Israeli fire.

HEBRON – (WAFA) – Israeli forces Thursday arrested eight people from Hebron and Jenin districts, and detained several people for hours on the same day at Qarawat Bani Hassan, a town located in the West Bank governorate of Salfit, according to local security sources.
