Monday, 02 July 2018 13:49

PLO Executive Committee Member Dr. Hanan Ashrawi:

“The real incitement stems from Israel’s military occupation of Palestine and its enslavement of an entire nation. The Israeli hardline extremist government led by Benjamin Netanyahu is responsible for generating a culture of hate and racism in Israel, inciting violence and feeding extremism. Updated monthly, this report includes samples of recent derogatory and inflammatory comments and incitement by Israeli government officials and leaders specifically meant to distort reality and mislead public opinion.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: “Jerusalem is the capital of Israel…And it will always be the capital of Israel. It’s been the capital of Israel for three thousand years. This is a description of our government under King Solomon, the son of King David, three thousand years ago.” (June 13, 2018)

“The reason we don’t have peace is not because of the absence of a Palestinian state.” (June 10, 2018)

Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman: “Whoever thinks improving the civilian and economic situation in Gaza will halt the terror kites and the violence, is simply wrong. Enough with all sorts of illusions and delusions that improving the economy will end terror.” (June 10, 2018)

Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked: “There is no difference between a burning kite and a Qassam rocket, and we should not tolerate the kites.” (June 21, 2018)

Education Minister and Diaspora Affairs Minister Naftali Bennett: “We welcome him [Prince William]. We welcome everyone who visits our capital. Jerusalem is the capital of the Jewish people, and only of the Jewish people.” (June 25, 2018)

“The bottom line is I really think is there is no great solution here. I am open to other ideas, like a Jordanian confederation.” (June 6, 2018)

Construction and Housing Minister Yoav Galant: “The State of Israel is based on three principles that appear in the Declaration of Independence: equality of rights, democracy and a Jewish state. This means that the only national state that can exist in Israel is the Zionist state. Those who want to establish a sub-state - it cannot be in our home… I am not willing to give up our hold on the land.” (June 7, 2018)

“The south is under attack, and not only from Gaza. The illegal occupation of the Bedouin is eroding Zionist sovereignty in the Negev, and the Negev is in danger and there is a real fear of hostile takeover. I consider myself a duty and a right to lead the issue of Jewish settlement in the Negev, and the establishment of new settlements is the lifeblood of Zionism.” (June 4, 2018)

“Today, we have the duty to establish a long vision for our continued hold on the region and to define a plan for solving the problem, which stems primarily from strengthening Jewish settlement in the Negev.” (June 4, 2018)

Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel: “As minister in charge of the Settlement Division, I am planning to strengthen the settlements and we know that there is a great demand from many families to move to the area.” (June 24, 2018)

“A Bedouin kid child who doesn’t know Hebrew won’t be going to college, and will have very limited in terms of occupations.” (June 21, 2018)

Minister of Culture and Sports Miri Regev: “When will you all understand, members of Knesset from the Arab List, members of Knesset from the opposition – Jerusalem is not politics! Jerusalem is the capital of the State of Israel and the capital of the Jewish people, and that it what it will remain forever.” (June 14, 2018)

Economy Minister Eli Cohen: “As a person who believes in the settlement of Judea and Samaria [occupied West Bank] and its economic development, I am particularly proud that the Ministry of Economy in my direction is a partner in the empowerment of business and employment and the lowering of prices in the Hebron Hills and in the entire settlement.” (June 18, 2018)

Knesset Member Miki Zohar (Likud): “You can’t fool the Jews, no matter what is the media writes. The public in Israel is a public that belongs to the Jewish race, and the entire Jewish race is the highest human capital, the smartest, the most comprehending. The public knows what the prime minister is doing for the country and how excellent he is at his job.” (June 13, 2018)

Knesset Member Bezalel Smotrich (Jewish Home): “There's no choice other than to reconquer Gaza and return to the how it was before the Oslo foolishness. Afterwards, my plan for [Israel] ruling Gaza will present Gazans with the same options as all the other Arabs in Israel: Make peace with the status quo, emigrate, or fight and lose. There's no other way.” (June 27, 2018)

“This is the first official visit of a member of the [British] Royal Family to Israel. The Kosel and Har HaBayis [Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound] are under Israeli sovereignty, and anyone who wants to visit them must do so as part of their visit to Israel. Anyone who thinks that they can visit those sites as part of a trip to Jordan or the PA is not wanted here.” (June 25, 2018)

“There is no greater interest for the State of Israel than the return of our boys. We will not agree to improve the humanitarian conditions in Gaza before that.” (June 1, 2018)

“The right path of action is to make Hamas prisoners' conditions more difficult so that they do not receive one millimeter beyond [what] international law [prescribes]. Beyond the bare minimum, do not allow anything into Gaza. Bring them to their knees, that is our security interest.” (June 1, 2018)

Knesset Member Haim Yellin (Yesh Atid): “I am offended in the name of the state that we are not beating them [people in the beseiged Gaza Strip] to a pulp.” (June 20, 2018)

Reserve Brigadier General Zvika Fogel: “[The solution and quiet will come]...when the civilian leadership and military leadership [in the Gaza Strip] there see IDF soldiers in front of their faces and shooting them in the head.” (June 6, 2018)

American Friends of Likud Chairman Ken Abramowitz: “...Israel should annex Area C which is 50% of Judea and Samaria [occupied West Bank]; that would be obvious. Right now Area C is being invaded by Bedouins paid for by the EU and the Moslem Brotherhood. Israel has to stop this invasion and take control over Area C. That's the minimum we should do.” (June 4, 2018)
