Short film "100 BALFOUR ROAD"

Thursday, 02 November 2017 11:36

On this day 100 years ago, November 2nd 1917, Britain's then-Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour on November signed a letter known as Balfour Declaration, in which he declared the support of the British government for the establishment of a Jewish homeland in Palestine.

In fact, the United Kingdom didn’t have the right to promise Palestine to the Zionist Movement.  Balfour Declaration is a promise from those who do not own, to those who are not entitled.

The film "The Balfour Road" is launched to mark the 100th anniversary of the suffering of millions of Palestinians, whether under occupation or expelled from their lands as a result of the disastrous Balfour Declaration.

The film is part of the Balfour Apology Campaign which aims to raise British society's awareness of the disastrous effects of the British government's role in the Balfour Declaration and the establishment of Israel, to collect an apology and prevent the centennial ceremony, and restore the rights of the Palestinian people violated over a hundred years.
