Hanoi - A gathering was held in Hanoi on April 16th to mark the 60th anniversary of the Asia-Africa Conference (AAC) in Bandung, Indonesia (April 18-24, 1955).

Co-hosted by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam Committee on Solidarity and Cooperation with Asia, Africa, and Latin America, the event brought together representatives from embassies and diplomatic representative agencies in Vietnam, friendship associations between Vietnam and foreign countries, and a crowd of students from Hanoi universities.

Ambassador of the State of Palestine Saadi Salama was among the distinguished guests at the anniversary. He addressed the importance of the forthcoming event in Indonesia and informed other participants that the Palestine Declaration will be issued in support of the national rights of the Palestinian people, including the self-determination right and the right to establish an independent State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Palestine Ambassador also praised the longstanding support of Asian-African nations, including the people and the government of Vietnam, granted to the just cause of the Palestinian people.
