Palestine National Council Vice President welcomed in Hanoi

Politburo member and standing member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Le Hong Anh had a meeting on March 26 with Vice President of the Palestine National Council Taysir Quba’a who is in Hanoi to attend the 132nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-132).

Quba’a lauded socio-economic achievements that Vietnam has gained over the past years. He briefed his host on current developments in Palestine and the region as well as the cooperation outcomes between the law-making bodies between the two countries.

He vowed to do his utmost to intensify the friendship, solidarity and partnership between the two parties, parliaments and peoples.

Anh spoke highly of Quba’a and the Palestine delegation’s participation in the IPU-132, expressing his belief that the attendance will contribute to the success of the event.

He applauded the two parliaments’ efforts in sharing information and exchanging experience in legislation, supervision as well as other issues related to parliament activities.

The partnership between the two legislative bodies will contribute to deepening the traditional friendship and solidarity between the two peoples, he said, expressing his hope for the two sides maintaining support at regional and international parliamentary forums.

Anh also reaffirmed the solidarity and support of Vietnam to Palestine’s struggle for basic national rights and said he looks forward to fostered friendship and cooperation between the two peoples in the future.

 

On Tuesday, March 31, National Assembly Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu held a reception for Vice President of the Palestine National Council Taysir Quba who is visiting Vietnam for the 132nd Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly.

Meeting Quba’s, Luu assured him that the Vietnamese NA is willing to boost cooperation with the Palestinian legislature both bilaterally and multilaterally.

He wished the legislatures would work supportively at IPU forums on global issues of shared concern.

Quba’s expressed his hope that both countries would deepen their bilateral ties, especially in business and investment.
